WINCHESTER SITE COMPLETED AND CONSTRUCTION COMMENCED

March 2018

Capitalise has completed on the purchase of its Winchester site with completion scheduled for August 2018 in time for the 2018/19 academic year. All the bedrooms will be laid out as a cluster configuration with shared kitchens and each one will have its own ensuite bathroom.

WINCHESTER SITE PURCHASE AGREED

Capitalise is pleased to report it has agreed terms to purchase a student development site on Romsey Road, Winchester.

This site is perfectly suited for the local student market, being only 250 metres from The University of Winchester’s main campus. We look forward to completing the purchase in the first quarter of 2018.

August 2016

CROYDON 90% SOLD OFF PLAN

22nd October 2015

CKC Contactors were appointed as principal contractor for Croydon and started build in August 2015. Capitalise are delighted to report that with 5 months still to go for build completion the entire development is now 90% sold off plan. It is anticipated the first residents will start moving in by March 2016.

CAPITALISE ANNOUNCES JV WITH INSPIRED ASSETS

Capitalise is delighted to announce a JV with Inspired Asset Management for the development of 39 private residential flats in Croydon. Capitalise has strengthened their existing working relationship by appointing Bennett Construction Limited as Design and Build Contractor for Grove House, Ealing. They have now commenced with the strip out, refurbishment and extension of Grove House.

The team includes Aros Architects (Architects), Edge Structures (Engineering), and Hunters (Project Managers). Fresh Student Living has been appointed to be the scheme operator and practical completion is due to take place by August 2014.

The development has been funded using 100% equity from a Family Trust.

Bennett Construction Limited has been appointed as Design and Build Contractor for Friar Street, Reading. They have now commenced with the demolition of Samuel House and the refurbishment and extension of Bridewell House.

The team includes Aros Architects (Architects), Edge Structures (Engineering), Hunters (Project Managers) and Trident Building Services (Monitoring Surveyors).

Fresh Student Living has been appointed to be the scheme operator and practical completion is due to take place by July 2014.

The development has been funded by Secure Trust Bank.

PLANNING GRANTED, GROVE HOUSE EALING

14th March 2013

Planning permission for the redevelopment of Grove House, Ealing, was granted last night. The scheme comprises 100 student studios, 90 of which average 19.6 square metres and 10 of which are accessible units of approximately 25.5 square metres. In addition the site will provide 50 cycle spaces, disabled parking and laundry and common rooms. Capitalise was assisted by Indigo Planning and Aros Architects.

It is anticipated that construction will start in the summer of 2013 for completion by the start of the 2014 student academic year.

PLANNING GRANTED FOR READING TOWN CENTRE SITE

18th October 2012

The proposed redevelopment of Bridewell and Samuel House on Friar Street was granted planning permission last night at the Planning Applications Committee meeting of Reading Borough Council. The permission was for the redevelopment of the entire upper parts of the buildings to provide 141 student studios with continued ground floor commercial use. Construction will commence in the first quarter of 2013 and be completed in time for student occupation in the summer of 2014.

Capitalise is delighted to be able to redevelop these buildings that will provide not only first class student accommodation but also assist in regenerating this neglected corner of Friar Street where these buildings have been vacant for many years.

CONSTRUCTION STARTS ON WHITECHAPEL ROAD

3rd July 2011

Following the signing of the Section 106 Agreement and Workspace’s relocation to new offices in the Oval, demolition of Magenta House, Whitechapel has now commenced and the ground works are due to start before the end of the month. The development will greatly enhance the local area providing 187 student rooms as well as new office and retail space at either end of the Technology Centre.

PLANNING PERMISSION GRANTED ON WHITECHAPEL ROAD E1

4th November 2010

Magenta House on Whitechapel Road has been granted planning consent by London Borough of Tower Hamlets under delegated powers for the redevelopment of 187 student bed spaces and 6,800 sqft of commercial space. Solicitors are instructed to agree the Section 106 document with the Local Authority, part of which will pay for improvements to the pavement along Whitechapel Road and provide funds for the local NHS Services.

CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES ON TWICKENHAM AND THAMES VALLEY HOUSING ASSOCIATION AGREE TO PURCHASE THE DEVELOPMENT

Bugler Developments has started on site and are anticipating a 17 month build programme. The site is being built for Thames Valley Housing Association who has agreed to purchase the development. 38 of the homes will be available for social rent with a further 15 for shared ownership.

London Borough of Richmond upon Thames planning committee last night voted in favour of granting planning permission for the development of 53 affordable homes on Third Cross Road. Construction should commence in the next 12 weeks and the site will be completed by March 2012.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION FOR MAGENTA HOUSE, WHITECHAPEL ROAD E1

A public exhibition for Magenta House was held by Capitalise and the project team over the 4th and 5th of July.  The exhibition was well attended by local businesses and valuable feedback was gained, which will be used to inform further scheme design. It is expected that a detailed application for the site will be submitted in September 2010.

TWICKENHAM SITE PUBLIC EXHIBITION

 7th February 2010

A Public Exhibition was held on site at Third Cross Road over 2 days and evenings to maximise the opportunity for stakeholder comment. The proposals were explained and discussed by the Capitalise team and the consultants with local residents, businesses and other interested parties. The exhibition was well attended despite the freezing temperatures and the feedback will enable Capitalise to enhance the scheme.

MARK BELLINGER SETS UP CAPITALISE ASSETS LLP

The former Managing Director of Catesby Regeneration Limited, Mark Bellinger, announced today that he was setting up Capitalise Assets LLP. The company will focus on development opportunities in London and the South East, primarily in the student and residential sectors. Offices have been secured at 22 Grosvenor Square. Mark will also be joined by Alistair Brand, who was previously the Managing Director of Berkeley First (formerly Berkeley College Homes) and, Nick Scott, who was with Mark at Catesby Regeneration.
